The New Zealand Jewellery Design Awards & Gala Preview

AWARDS
From over 76 entrants 8 finalists have been chosen, four in the fine and four in the contemporary categories, by 5 respected and independent judges.

Awards’ finalists derived their inspiration from a variety of sources – from humble household objects, flora and fauna, New Zealand history, Maori culture and the spontaneous nature of Spanish life.  They have a combined value of well over $100,000 and are as diverse as they are innovative.

Contemporary finalists: (sponsored by Building Solutions)

Sarah Walker-Holt - Timekeeping

Jane Dodd – Bit of a Bear

Kvetoslave Flora Sekanova - Literality

Matthew McIntyre Wilson – Poi Kura

Fine jewellery finalists:

Dan Palmer – Naked Barcelona

Nick Hensman - 1886

Julian Bartrom – Le Dragonfly En Tremble

Lucas Ebbeke - Primavera

The overall winners in each category will be announced at the Gala Preview Evening on 08 September at a red carpet event hosted by Carol Hirschfeld. To find out more click here.
